Sports Massage

Sports massage incorporates techniques from other massage styles to become an entity that works to provide a deep and rehabilitating process that manipulates the soft tissue to prevent injury, elevate muscle or tendon pain or rid the soft tissue of any stress they are holding on to.

K-Taping

K-Tape is an elastic cotton strip with an acrylic adhesive that is used with the intent of treating swelling, mobility and enhances recovery. KT Tape can be used to prevent or treat many common muscle and joint related injuries including: sprains, muscle strains, subluxations, and tendonitis. KT tape provides support and pain relief before, during, and/or after an activity.

Ultrasound Therapy

Therapeutic ultrasound is often used to reduce pain, increase circulation and increase mobility of soft tissues. Additionally, the application of ultrasound can be helpful in the reduction of inflammation, reducing pain and the healing of injuries and wounds.

Dry Needling/Medical Acupuncture

Dry needling treats muscle tissue, and its goal is to reduce pain, inactivate trigger points and restore function. It rarely is a standalone procedure. Rather, it often is part of a broader physical therapy approach incorporating other traditional physical therapy interventions into treatment.

Cupping

Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This relieves muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.

IASTM

Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation (IASTM) is a popular treatment for myofascial restriction. IASTM uses specially designed instruments to provide a mobilising effect to scar tissue and myofascial adhesions.

Joint Mobilisation

Joint mobilization is a physical therapy technique designed to relieve pain and muscle spasms, release tension and improve flexibility in a joint. These motions stretch and strengthen the tissue surrounding the bone, which helps reduce pain and increase range of motion.

Exercise Prescription

Tailored exercises prescribed to assist with injury rehabilitation and on-going injury prevention.

Injury Rehabilitation

Bespoke programmes designed to suit an individual’s specific goals, whether sporting or functional.
